Palliative Care
22 June 2024
Enable integrates occupational therapy into palliative care to enhance the quality of life for individuals requiring end-of-life care.
Our approach includes:
- Symptom management: Addressing physical discomfort, pain, and fatigue through therapeutic activities, equipment/furniture provisioning, and adaptive techniques.
- Activity adaptation: Modifying daily activities to match the individual’s abilities, ensuring they can continue to engage in meaningful tasks.
- Emotional support: Providing social and emotional support to the client and caregivers to help cope with the challenges of illness.
- Caregiver training: Educating caregivers on how to assist with daily activities and manage symptoms effectively.
Through this holistic approach, we aim to improve comfort, maintain independence, and support both clients and their caregivers during difficult times.
